AUTUMN/WINTER 20

For Autumn/Winter 2020, we were inspired by our current political climate and has designed the collection around the theme "Freedom". It is an interesting time right now as we remember the fall of the Berlin wall 30 years ago in contrast with Trump's plan to build a wall between Mexico and the United states. This contradiction led us to see how we could inject different interpretations of "Freedom" into the Schnayderman's wardrobe.

We continue to widen the offering of design driven wardrobe essentials in elevated fabrics with shirts as the main focal point. This includes new outerwear pieces with generous fits and exaggerated details, trousers that complement a selection of overshirts to create sets that can be worn as modern suits. In support for gender equality and freedom of gender expression, Schnayderman's introduce the "Non-Binary Shirt", a relaxed fitting shirt with a point collar and knife pleats, tailored to fit any gender identity. The knitwear is 3D circular knitted in Italy and has been given a new look this season with a rib structure in Mohair. The prints this season embrace the ideas of "Freedom" with cloud motifs, newspaper tabloid collage and illustrated Killer Whales inspired by the 90's movie "Free Willy". To add to the visual language, there are stripes and checks in everything from wool mixes to drapy viscose fabrics reminding us of borders and constraints we are faced with in everyday life.
