AUTUMN/WINTER 17

TThe colors and textures for the Autumn/Winter 2017 collection draws inspiration from the Swedish artist and model Lisa Fonssagrives-Penn’s sculptures and paintings. During the 1950’s and -60’s, Lisa Fonssagrives-Penn was a muse for several of the leading fashion houses in Paris, photographed by some of the most influential photographers of all time, such as Irving Penn, who later also became her husband. Parallel to her spellbinding presence in front of the camera, she continually created her own expressive artworks – the colors and textures of which lays the inspirational foundation of our A/W 2017 collection. Materials pleasing to the eye as well as the hand. Fabrics such as creased linen and nylon; structural cotton and wool; washed and faded denims as well as our characteristic light poplins colored in Lisa Fonssagrives-Penn’s exquisite color palette.

The Autumn/Winter 2017 collection sees four new garments – all originating from the shirt – but expanding the idea of what a shirt can be. Coatshirt is a longer Overshirt with a touch of a lab coat style and comes in three versions; wool, cotton and nylon. A new addition to our Overshirts is a zipped version we like to call Overshirt Zip. This season as a bomber hybrid – quilted and with the classic orange lining. The shirt gets a make-over in a v-necked version called v-shirt – in thicker poplin as well as denim – were the collar is removed while leaving all other details intact. Additionally, we also introduce Schnayderman’s t-shirt in poplin and denim. A versatile piece, style on top of a shirt or just by its minimalistic self.
